How the 100,000 km example adds up
Suppose the odometer reads 60,000 km just after a completed service. Another 100,000 km takes it to 160,000 km. At the assumed interval, visits fall at 75,000, 90,000, 105,000, 120,000, 135,000 and 150,000 km: six visits inside the year.
If the confirmed work for those six visits fits four minor packages, one interval package and one major package, the calculation is (4 × AED 350) + AED 650 + AED 2,450 = AED 4,500 before VAT. Adding AED 225 VAT gives AED 4,725.
The gearbox, plugs and filters still follow their own requirements. This example does not prescribe which mileage needs a major service. If another major item falls due, revise the budget.
Add wear items only when needed
To see how an inspection can change that budget, assume separately quoted front brake pads cost AED 1,200, a battery with applicable registration costs AED 1,200, and due brake fluid service costs AED 350, all before VAT.
Those three items add AED 2,750. With the AED 4,500 service example, the total becomes AED 7,250 before VAT or AED 7,612.50 including VAT. These are illustrative amounts within the planning ranges, not a finding that your A4 needs those parts.
Tires, unexpected faults and other repairs remain outside this example. Remove any item already included in a visit so you never count the same work twice.
For a lightly driven car: low annual mileage does not cancel time-based work. If brake fluid is due and separately quoted at AED 350 before VAT, adding it to the AED 350 minor service gives AED 700 before VAT or AED 735 including VAT. If records show it is not due, leave it out.
