A low advertised Audi Q5 service cost can become frustrating when oil quantity, filters, VAT, or due maintenance is added later. A useful price explains the vehicle it covers, the work included, and which wear or repair items remain outside the package.
How much does an Audi Q5 service cost?

With 25% off, Audi Q5 service cost starts at AED 487.50 for a minor service, AED 712.50 for an interval service, and AED 1,950 for a major service for eligible 2.0 TFSI models. With 5% VAT, those starting totals are AED 511.88, AED 748.13, and AED 2,047.50.
V6 and SQ5 packages start higher. Your annual maintenance total depends on how many services are due, previous work, and wear items such as brakes and tires. Repairs are separate.
Audi Q5 service prices with 25% off
Save 25% on the listed Q5 routine service packages. The prices below show the discount before VAT. The offer covers the listed Q5 2.0 TFSI, eligible V6, and SQ5 packages. Separately quoted repairs and additional work are excluded.
Regularly from AED 650
AED 511.88 including VAT
Minor service for eligible 2.0 TFSI models.
Regularly from AED 950
AED 748.13 including VAT
Interval service for eligible 2.0 TFSI models.
Regularly from AED 2,600
AED 2,047.50 including VAT
Major service for eligible 2.0 TFSI models.
Prices shown exclude 5% VAT and include the listed package’s parts and standard labor. Diesel, plug-in hybrid, imported, modified, and unlisted versions need a separate estimate. The AED 350 entry offer advertised elsewhere on this site applies to A1 through A4, not the Q5. Your written estimate will confirm eligibility, the discounted package, and any separate work before approval.
What minor, interval, and major service should mean
| Package | Typical included work | Usually confirmed or priced separately |
|---|---|---|
| Minor service | Correct approved engine oil and quantity, oil filter, basic inspection, leak check, and service reset for the work completed. | Air and cabin filters, brake fluid, spark plugs, gearbox fluid, repairs, and diagnostic testing beyond the basic inspection. |
| Interval service | Minor-service work plus air filter and cabin filter in the current Audi Specialist package description. | Items driven by separate time, mileage, engine, or gearbox schedules. |
| Major service | Broader package that can include gasoline spark plugs and applicable transmission-fluid servicing when confirmed by gearbox code. | Brake wear, suspension faults, coolant repairs, timing work, batteries, tires, and faults found during inspection. |

Before choosing a package: “major service” is not a universal Audi checklist. Ask for the itemized operations and parts. The car’s official schedule and history decide what is due.
When is your Q5 maintenance actually due?
Check the dashboard service reminder and last invoice. Start with the year, engine if known, and current mileage. The workshop can confirm the VIN and detailed schedule during the visit; you do not need every record before asking for a price.
Confirm the due schedule, scan when justified, assess brakes and tires, look for leakage, inspect filters and fluid condition, and compare findings with the documented history.
Separate scheduled work, recommended preventive work, and repairs. Each line should show parts, labor, VAT status, and whether it is required now or can be monitored.
Keep the invoice, oil approval, part details, measurement results, and the next due date. A reset without documentation is not a useful maintenance record.
Which Q5 versions cost more to maintain?
8R generation
Age, unknown history, oil leakage, suspension wear, cooling-system condition, and older gearbox servicing can add inspection or repair work beyond routine maintenance.
FY generation
Later electronics, emissions systems, driver assistance, and specific engine or transmission requirements make VIN-based parts and diagnostic checks important.
Third-generation Q5
The newer PPC-based generation has different electronics and drivetrain specifications. Identify the actual engine, transmission, and hybrid equipment before applying an older Q5 package or maintenance schedule.
3.0, SQ5, TDI, and electrified models
Larger oil quantities, additional hardware, performance brakes, diesel aftertreatment, hybrid systems, or special procedures can raise material and labor requirements.
Quattro does not mean every Q5 has the same transmission or final-drive service. Likewise, an S line appearance package is not the same as an SQ5 powertrain. Decode the vehicle before choosing a package.
What is excluded from the Q5 service price?
Routine maintenance does not cover every problem found during an inspection. Keep wear items and fault repairs separate so you can compare the package price fairly and decide what is needed now.
| Additional work | Why the cost varies | What to check before paying |
|---|---|---|
| Brake pads, discs, and tires | Wheel size, brake specification, axle, and parts choice. | Measurements and a price for the complete axle or tire set being replaced. |
| Gearbox fluid and filter | Transmission type, fluid quantity, filter arrangement, and service history. | Whether the work is already included in the selected major package. Do not pay for the same operation twice. |
| Leaks, suspension, and battery faults | The failed component, access, related seals, and any required adaptation. | The test result or located leak and the separate fitted repair total. |
| Warning-light diagnosis | The symptom and tests needed beyond reading fault codes. | The initial diagnostic charge and approval before additional testing. |
For example, an oil service does not repair an oil leak, and a gearbox-fluid change cannot rebuild worn clutches. Maintenance and repair may happen during the same visit, but their costs should remain identifiable.
How much should you budget each year for Q5 maintenance?
Build the annual total from the work actually due. The examples below use the starting package prices after the 25% discount for an eligible 2.0 TFSI Q5. They assume the same offer applies to each included visit; future prices are not guaranteed. They show the arithmetic, not an average ownership cost or a fixed yearly schedule.
| Work due within the year | Before VAT | Including 5% VAT |
|---|---|---|
| One minor service only | From AED 487.50 | From AED 511.88 |
| One interval service only | From AED 712.50 | From AED 748.13 |
| Two separate minor-service visits | From AED 975 | From AED 1,023.75 |
| One minor visit plus one interval visit | From AED 1,200 | From AED 1,260 |
| One major service only | From AED 1,950 | From AED 2,047.50 |
Choose the row that matches the due work. An interval service already includes the minor-service operations. A major package includes its listed lower-tier operations, so do not add all three prices for one visit. Add a second visit only if another service becomes due.
Low annual mileage
A Q5 driven about 7,000 km a year still has time-based maintenance. Check the due date as well as mileage. Low use does not make old brake fluid, aging tires, or overdue oil maintenance disappear.
High annual mileage
Frequent driving may bring more than one service into a year. Work out when the next mileage threshold will arrive from your actual use. Highway mileage and repeated short trips can create different inspection needs.
A Q5 at 100,000 km is a different question from one driven 100,000 km each year. Total mileage helps identify upcoming work; annual mileage helps predict how soon it will be due. Neither number alone proves that a major service or repair is needed.
Keep a separate allowance for measured brake and tire wear, a weak battery, or a confirmed leak. On an older Q5 with missing records, start with an inspection and a staged list. On a documented car, avoid buying work that was recently completed just because the odometer has crossed a round number.
This budget covers workshop maintenance. Fuel, insurance, registration, parking, financing, and depreciation are separate ownership expenses. If buying a used Q5, review upcoming maintenance before comparing its asking price with another car.
Common pricing traps and maintenance misdiagnoses
One trap is comparing two quotes that use different oil approvals, quantities, filter brands, or inspection scope. Another is accepting “full service” without an item list. A third is assuming a dashboard reset proves the correct work was completed.
Service cannot repair a warning light unless the underlying problem is identified and corrected. New gearbox fluid cannot rebuild damaged clutches. New spark plugs do not prove an ignition coil or injector is faulty. Replacing brakes based only on a warning without measuring pad and disc condition can also lead to the wrong scope.
Ask for measurements and evidence: brake-pad and disc readings, tire tread and age, battery test result, scan findings, leak location, fluid approval, and photos where useful. Evidence helps rank work by urgency and protects both owner and workshop from vague assumptions.

Four Q5 maintenance cost scenarios
These examples show how scope changes. They are not fixed quotes and do not predict what a particular vehicle needs.
Routine 2.0 gasoline visit
The car has complete history, no warnings, normal fluid levels, and no repair symptoms. The estimate can stay close to the applicable minor or interval package, with only genuinely due time-based items listed separately.
Used 8R with missing records
The owner knows the last oil change but not brake-fluid, spark-plug, or gearbox history. The first visit should inspect and identify rather than automatically replace everything. The quote can stage safety work, overdue maintenance, and monitor items.
High-mileage SQ5 with vibration
Routine service and the vibration are two scopes. Maintenance covers due fluids and filters; diagnosis checks wheels, tires, brakes, mounts, driveshafts, engine behavior, and gearbox data before repair parts are approved.
Q5 with a warning message
A scan and directed tests are added to the relevant scheduled service. Clearing the message or installing maintenance parts does not count as repair until the cause is found and the result verified.
How parts choices change the bill
Part source
A quote may use Audi Genuine parts, parts from an original-equipment supplier, or verified aftermarket alternatives. The comparison should identify the brand and part number where practical, not hide everything behind “OEM quality.” Filters, plugs, brake components, batteries, suspension arms, and sensors do not all have the same quality risks or warranty terms.
Included hardware
Ask what is included with the part. A control arm may include a bush but not all mounting hardware. A battery may need registration or adaptation. A gearbox kit may or may not include a filter, sump, bolts, gasket, and the full approved fluid quantity. Labor saved by grouping overlapping work can be useful, but it should be explained.
Warranty scope
Warranty should state the covered part, labor, duration, mileage condition if any, and exclusions. Owner-supplied parts can change responsibility and warranty coverage, so agree on that before the appointment.
Which Q5 work can wait?
Confirmed safety faults and damage risks take priority. Stop safely for a red oil-pressure warning, overheating, or serious braking trouble and arrange assistance. A routine service booking is not a substitute for responding to those warnings.
Schedule maintenance approaching its time or mileage limit. Ask for the expected due point and likely cost so it can be planned with the next visit instead of treated as an unexpected add-on.
Early wear or a minor finding may be suitable for rechecking when the technician confirms it is safe. Record the measurement and recheck point. A vague instruction to keep watching is not enough.
Between visits, check dashboard messages, tire pressures, and fluid-level indications using the owner’s manual. Do not open a hot cooling system or attempt gearbox servicing or high-voltage work to reduce the bill. Keep invoices and results so a future workshop can see what has already been done.
Budget for the work your Q5 is actually due
Start with the correct engine’s service price, include VAT, and add only the separate maintenance and repairs supported by the schedule or inspection. Compare the included oil, filters, fluids, and labor before choosing the lowest headline price. A clear record helps prevent both overdue work and duplicate spending.

Audi Q5 service cost questions
How much is an Audi Q5 service in Dubai?
With 25% off the listed packages, eligible 2.0 TFSI minor service starts at AED 487.50, interval service at AED 712.50, and major service at AED 1,950 before VAT. Including 5% VAT, the starting totals are AED 511.88, AED 748.13, and AED 2,047.50. V6 and SQ5 prices differ.
Why does an SQ5 cost more to service?
Performance engines can use more oil, different filters and plugs, larger brakes, and model-specific procedures. Current starting package prices are therefore higher.
Are brake pads included in a major service?
Brake inspection may be included, but replacement pads and discs are wear repairs and should be quoted separately unless the estimate clearly says otherwise.
Is gearbox oil part of every major service?
No. It depends on gearbox code, schedule, history, and the defined package. The fluid and procedure must match the actual transmission.
Does the Q5 service price include VAT?
The planning figures quoted in this article exclude 5% VAT. A final estimate should state VAT clearly.
Does the AED 350 service offer apply to the Q5?
No. That entry offer applies to Audi A1 through A4. The Q5 2.0 TFSI minor-service starting price is AED 487.50 before VAT after the 25% discount, reduced from AED 650.
Is annual Q5 maintenance the same as one service price?
No. Add the services actually due during the year, then separately budget for time-based items and confirmed wear or repairs. Do not add minor and interval prices together for a single interval-service visit.
What if my Q5 has a warning light?
Request diagnosis in addition to maintenance. A routine service does not guarantee that a warning will be repaired.
How can I reduce long-term Q5 maintenance cost?
Keep accurate records, use the correct fluids and parts, inspect early symptoms, group genuinely due work efficiently, and avoid replacing parts without test evidence.
Sources and price basis
Service requirements should be confirmed in the official Audi owner manual portal and current vehicle-specific workshop data. Generation information is supported by Audi’s third-generation Q5 introduction. The AED planning figures and package descriptions are based on the current Audi Specialist service cost guide. The 25% reduction applies to the listed routine service package prices. Added repairs and separately quoted work are excluded. Final prices depend on vehicle specification and agreed scope.
